Do you have a project that needs support?

Our Rotary Sunday Market generates funds that we can use to support worthy causes. If you have a project or a cause that would benefit the community, you may be eligible to receive support.

Each year the net proceeds of the funds raised by the Rotary Sunday Market at Camberwell Junction are distributed as grants for community bodies locally and through the wider world. This is done in two ways:

  1. Through the City of Boroondara’s Community Grants Program, for projects up to $10,000 each and qualifying against the criteria set out in the scheme jointly administered by City of Boroondara and the Rotary Club of Balwyn. These projects are usually for community activities within the boundaries of the City of Boroondara.
  2. Through direct grants to charitable and “not for profit” organizations with a community development focus. These grants may be of any amount for areas outside Boroondsara and may include projects within Boroondara over $10,000

“Charitable projects” are projects which benefit the community or a considerable part of the community.

Organizations from within the City of Boroondara seeking funds for a project under $10,000 are therefore encouraged to firstly apply for a grant through the City of Boroondara’s Community Grants Program – usually in June each year. For details on how to apply, see  http://www.boroondara.vic.gov.au/our-city/grants/kit

For all other grants, applicants should apply in writing directly to :

or by email to secretary@balwynrotary.org.au

giving details of your project and how it will benefit the community.
