Care Report
Wendy Le Get is on all our minds at this time. The pneumonia that took her to hospital - in Garry's description -- was only an opportunistic invader and not the real problem. Wendy regrettably has two serious conditions and for medicos amongst us 'B-Cell_chronic_lymphocytic leukaemia and Cold Agglutinin Disease'. The control treatment has started. Its only the second case the hospital has had this year. Very rare.
Wendy we all have you in our thought and prayers supporting you and carer Garry at this very difficult time. Garry if there is any way any of us can help -- we are as far as phone.
Don Jones is also in the Epworth chain, and has had one successful operation on the leg but has two more to go. He has every reason to be frustrated. Its a long haul situation and I'm sure he would like a phone call or visit if you are anywhere near Epworth Richmond.
Talking to Stan Hogg he advised his dear wife Judy is not very well, and he spends a lot of time at her side. Our thoughts are with you both, Stan.
Immediate Past President Andrew and wife Shirley have returned from Port Douglas and joined us last night. Their wedding was celebrated in the beautiful multi denominational St Mary's Church on the 'green' overlooking the Port Douglas harbour. Quite a place to confirm vows.
Beverley and Lindsay Jones didn't stay home long from their trip round outback western Queensland, they are now flying to Europe for a tour in that part of world.
Carol Imison has 6 days to go and she will be retiring from work. For some reason she is very happy!!
Carol we all wish you e very satisfing and happy reirement.
Its also all happening in the McQualter family since their return home. They have just excitedly announced the birth of their first grandchild. Congratulations.
